strong winds were blowing up here, as you can see by the heavily blurred foliage to the right of the rocks :)

UPDATE:

Firstly, thanks a lot to everyone who's fav'd and commented this shot, i'm so happy with the reception ive gotten with it :)

I was however, slightly dissapointed when looking back at it with my process of it... I think it was fairly rushed.

I fixed up some of the blending which was dodgy, increase sharpness in the foreground, reduced noise in the sky, as well as increased the exposure of the sky a bit so to make it look a bit more natural.

wow....how bloody early did u get up to climb ngungun and take this shot?? thats nuts.

either that or it was really late...i cant tell lol.

this is a gorgeous shot though. i could see it being used for one the tourist things to promote glasshouse :D you should submit it to...idk somewhere =p

did you have a torch or something? cuz that would have been so dangerous in the dark. especially with all ur equipment.
