Not 100% on this shot, I spent quite a while with it in CS3 trying get it JUST right, but couldnt decide on the final result. It worked strongly in monochrome, and also worked well with a channels layer, monochrome yellow filter but set to about 20% opacity. In the end I felt the full colour version was probably the strongest, I might scrap the other two versions for you guys to see.
The shot was taken up at our friends property out at Kenilworth. Its so lush and green out there atm, and it was a shame there werent many clouds around, hence the predominantly FG composition. It was however very windy which created the foreground interest you see here.
Canon 40D, Sigma 10-20 @ 10mm 2 seconds, f/16, ISO100. Used the top half of my 2 stop GND handheld to hold back some light to get the longer exposure, then blended it with a .5 sec or so exposure to get the sky exposed correctly.
