Description
My first shoot of the new season, and what good timing it was with my NDx400 filter coming into my local camera store after around 4 months of waiting
So I was pretty keen to try it out, it was annoying having till wait until most of the direct sunlight was gone from a scene to be able to use long/ish exposures. Nearly all went to buggery when the car wouldnt start, but it seems a light had been left on and was fine after a quick jump start. Phew
Experimented with the filter a bit, getting used to the idea that I would have to remove the bugger to compose and focus every scene. Not too much of a hassle, although one thing I did notice was that I came home after an evening shooting with only 70 odd photos, which is crazy since I usually snap around 100-200. I guess it was the fact that most photos were 30seconds at least, and that more time was taken setting up/composing.
ANYWAY, when it came to it, and the light became epic as it was filtered through some clouds and some others began to light up nicely, I didnt trust my ability not to screw up the exposure calculation or do something dumb and spend 1 minute taking a shot which would be crap and then the light would be missed. So the filter went away and I snapped this shot in two parts
Some more shots to come soon, mostly taken with the new filter. Thanks for reading!
